Ready to Get Naked?

Updated: Oct 8, 2019

A question I get often is, “do you have a good protein powder recommendation?”

It’s a good question because although protein powder is thought of as a “healthy choice,” if you’re not careful, you could be adding extra sugar, artificial flavours and colours to your recipes.

If you’ve asked that question yourself recently, here’s my answer: I would recommend the Grass Fed Whey Protein and Collagen Peptides Protein Powder from Naked Nutrition.

Unlike most protein powders out there, the unflavoured Grass Fed Whey Protein has one ingredient: grass fed whey protein. Pretty great isn’t it? Here are a few other benefits that makes this product a winner in my books:

- From Grass Fed Cows' Milk From Small Dairy Farms in California

- No Artificial Sweeteners, Flavors, or Colors

- 25 Grams of Protein and 5.9 Grams of BCAA’s Per Serving

- Only One Ingredient: Grass Fed Whey Protein

- GMO Free

- Soy Free and Gluten Free

- Growth Hormone Free, no rBGH or rBST

- Cold Processed

- Acid and Bleach-Free Processing

I have only tried the unflavoured (I personally don’t like adding flavour to my smoothies), but it’s also available in vanilla, chocolate or strawberry, which have coconut sugar, natural vanilla, cocoa powder and dried strawberries - no artificial flavours here!

The other product I would recommend is the Collagen Peptides Protein Powder. Collagen has gained popularity lately, and for good reason. Collagen is a protein, and one of the main components of connective tissue in muscles, tendons, ligaments and skin. Unfortunately, collagen starts to decrease as we age.

Having turned 37 this year, I started taking collagen about 5 months ago, and I’ve noticed a big difference in the appearance of my skin, my eyebrows are fuller, my nails don’t break, and my hair is thicker. I also used to have some joint pain in my feet, which I don’t feel anymore.

Again, you have to be careful when choosing a collagen product, which is why I recommend the Collagen Peptides Protein Powder from Naked Nutrition. Here are a few reasons why this product is a good choice:

- From Pasture-Raised and Grass-Fed Bovine Hides from Europe

- No Artificial Sweeteners, Flavors, or Colors

- 9 Grams of Protein and 0.6 Grams of BCAA’s Per Serving

- Only One Ingredient: Grass-Fed Bovine Hide Collagen Peptide

- GMO Free

- Dairy Free, Soy Free, and Gluten Free

- Growth Hormone Free, no rBGH or rBST

- Paleo and Keto Friendly

Not only is this a good quality product, I can’t taste it when mixing it into my smoothie. I’ve tried other collagen powders before that taste like beef broth - not the flavour you want in the morning (or ever really)!

The whey and collagen protein powders can be added to your smoothies, coffee (collagen only), and protein bar recipes. Check out nkdnutrition.com for more information and recipes.
